About Us

• ARCHER GROUP, PS strives to assist our clients in any way possible; Whether it be through bookkeeping, tax returns or other accounting services, to QuickBooks training with our QuickBooks certified professionals, or through services provided by our sister company, ARCHER LEGAL SERVICES, PS, our skilled professionals at The Group go above and beyond to meet and excede all your expectations. 

• Take a moment to meet The Group: G. Dennis Archer, Bernadette Halliday, Richard Olson, Carlye Gillespie, Joni Russell, Gail Thomas, Ryan MacDonald, Tonya Beltman, Ellen Sheen, Diana Duggan and Stephanie Hendrickson.
• Dennis Archer, owner of Archer Group, is a CPA, JD, ABV and PFS. He attended the University of Washington and University of Seattle where he received his degrees in business, accounting and law. He currently holds his ABV certification from the AICPA and PFS from the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards; currently he is a member of WSCPA and AICPA and long time member of and Secretary for the Bellingham Bay Rotary Club.
• Bernadette Halliday is the accounting manager at Archer Group. She received her Bachelor degree in accounting from Western Washington University and CPA designation soon after graduating. Currently, Bernadette is a member of AICPA and WSCPA. Bernadette is also our certified Quickbooks advisor and is in charge of teaching the Quickbooks classes offered by Archer Group. She is a current member and past President of the Burlington Rotary Club and active participant in county events.
• Richard Olson is the audit supervisor and business valuation expert at Archer Group. Richard graduated from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics/Accounting. Currently he holds his ABV and is a member of the AICPA and WSCPA. Richard has over 30 years experience in audits of a wide range of business organizations and groups. He also spends time volunteering tax and accounting services for the Evergreen Aids Foundation in Bellingham.
• Carlye Gillespie received her Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Western Washington University and received her CPA designation and Certified Fraud Examiner shortly thereafter. Currently she is a member of the AICPA and WSCPA. She has done some impressive work in forensic accounting, fraud examination and creating procedures in fraud prevention.
• Joni Russell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Administrative Science and a Bachelor of Science in in Accounting. She is a member of the AICPA and WSCPA and volunteers her time to the Lynden Homeowner's Association board.
• Gail Thomas received her Enrolled Agent certification after working in the bookkeeping and accounting industry for over 30 years. Now she utilizes her expertise in assisting clients with their bookkeeping and accounting.
• Ryan MacDonald recently graduated from Western Washington University with his Bachelor of Science in Accounting. After serving as an intern for Archer Group, he is now employed as full-time staff accountant and is currently working toward his Certified Public Assistant designation.
• Tonya Beltman attended Whatcom Community College, where she earned her Associate in Arts and Science. Shortly after, she transferred to Bellingham Technical College where she received her Accounting Technician degree. She currently works in the bookkeeping department at Archer Group, assisting clients in managing their personal and company books.
• Ellen Thompson received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Western Washington University in 2004. Over the years she has held many positions at Archer Group; currently she is Executive Assistant and Paralegal to Dennis. She is an active member of the National Association of Legal Assistants and is currently working toward further certification.
• Diana Duggan is the Tax Assistant at Archer Group. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Western Washington University in 2008; at Archer Group she is able to utilize her communication skills to further assist clients, manage tax assembly and spearhead billing.
• Stephanie Hendrickson graduated from Western in 2008 with a degree in Business Administration. As Archer Group's Front Desk Coordinator, she is the face of Archer Group and is in charge of general front desk management, greeting clients, manning phone calls and time entry, among a vast amount of other responsibilities.
