Carlye began her career in public accounting in January of 1999 after graduating from Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in accounting. In April 2001, she received her CPA license and has since gone on to earn her designation at a Certified Fraud Examiner. Carlye is also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Carlye has Whatcom County roots, having been raised here and has lived here all her life. She, her husband, Bob, and Toby, their four legged adoptee from the Humane Society, have more than enough room to roam on their land in the county. They are known for their travels, whether an exotic trip or a three day weekend, they make an adventure by finding excitement in exploring unseen sights. Carlye also generously volunteers time as Treasurer for Whatcom County Herman Miller 4-H Park.

Carlye's quiet manner and her depth of knowledge make her a favorite with clients. She takes a proactive approach, her goal being to understand the clients' needs, to facilitate the goals efficiently, to troubleshoot when required and to keep the client informed and educated. She has done some impressive work with forensic accounting, in fraud examination and in developing procedures for prevention.
