G. dennis archer

Dennis is the founder of Archer Group, PS and is the director of tax services.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Masters of Business Administration in finance from the University of Washington and a law degree from the Seattle University . In 1998, Dennis received his ABV, Accredited Business Valuation, designation and his PFS, Personal Financial Specialist, designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dennis received his CFP, Certified Financial Planner, designation from the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards in 2000. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants, and both the American and Washington State Bar Associations.

Dennis' experience features long-term responsibility for research and review of complex tax issues including consolidated corporate returns, pension and profit- sharing plans, tax-free property exchanges, plus individual and business tax planning. He provides tax and financial consultation services for owners and managers of businesses in a variety of industries including retail, restaurant, construction, manufacturing, research, timber, oil and gas, as well as financial institutions. Dennis has served as technical advisor to various charitable organizations, ranging from private foundations to public charities. His community involvement includes volunteer work in various capacities with St. Luke's Foundation, Boy Scout Foundation, Northwest Washington Estate Planning Council, Whatcom County Museum , Mt. Baker Theatre, YMCA, Visiting Nurse Foundation, Mt. Baker Theatre and Western Foundation. He is currently Secretary of the Bellingham Bay Rotary Club and a director of The Bank of The Pacific.

Dennis is devoted to his family, including his two sons and daughter and their families, his mother and his 6 brothers and their families. Family functions are frequent with activities ranging from friendly completions of darts, lawn boules or scrabble to bike rides or totem painting and even traveling as a group. His latest joy and devotion, (and it’s definitely mutual) is his grandson, Archer . Since Archer spends his days at the office, he is frequently seen crawling toward his Papa with the speed of a toddler looking for adventure. Dennis has a passion for history, for books and for education. For him, to be surrounded by the good company family and friends and the have a library full of books is the ultimate of “all things good”.

Dennis is a tenacious advocate for his clients. His numerous strengths include achieving the desired result, educating clients on sound options and how those options affect their goals. He provides sound research and advise based on relevant tax law.
